Theme: Office Dogs
Sunday, August 24th, 2025, volunteers buzzed around setting up, anticipation building as models began to arrive. A common phrase passed around the team was, “Its gonna happen whether we are ready or not.” No one is ever truly ready for a 300+ person and dog event – but it was the day, and all the preparations were well underway.
This is the 11th year of the event and the second year at The City Club at Gibson Mills. Everything came together and was ready for guests. The smell of food flowed from the food trucks greeting the attendees, silent auction items were lined up ready for bids, a few adoptable dogs wagged their tails – excited to see new faces and eager to be loved on.
Long time supporters quickly claimed their seats, while new attendees purchased tickets at the door intent to see what was going on inside. The themed cocktails–from Shorty’s Cor-Gin & Tonic to the Minnie Margarita and Tito’s Dirty Shirley–flowed freely at the bar and the crowd was energetic.
Founders Ginger and Heather took the stage to thank supporters, recognizing that the continued success of Splashpaw’s mission would not be possible without their generosity. Reverand Cox kicked off the event with a blessing. Emcees Jen and Joe took over the mics, captured the crowd’s attention and began introducing the 2025 Bark and Brew models.
In total, 23 models (dogs and a lizard) plus their humans were red carpet ready. One by one, they pranced down the red carpet, soaking up well deserved adoration in the form of head pats and scratches. After the show concluded, everyone gathered around, claimed their silent auction prizes, bought merch and made their rounds talking with one another.
All in all, it was another successful Bark and Brew to put in the books, all thanks to those who made it happen.
Until next year!

We want to give a huge thank you to all the sponsors, attendees, and supporters who donated time, gifts, money, and more to The Splashpaw Foundation over the years. Rowan and Cabarrus County pets thank you, the Splashpaw board thanks you. Because of the continued support from our community, the foundation can assist families in need when their furbabies get sick or injured.
